Polygon Offset is broken

Polygon (or polyline) offset is broken in 5.7.0. This shows up on a users' dataset, but is easy to replicate with Wavelet. Here is how to do so:

  • 5.7.0, Linux or OS X, builtin server.
  • Sources/ Wavelet. Extent is -1000 to 1000, -10 to 10, -10 to 10. Apply.
  • +X
  • Surface with Edges.
  • Zoom in until the bar fills about 3/4 of the screen vertically.
  • Rotate the bar up.

Notice that the bar has back lines showing through. This is a bug, and needs to get fixed.

Temporary hack - Change Edit/ Settings/ Render View/ Advanced/ Line Offset Parameters to be 0 and -0.1.

OK to slip this bug to 5.9, however, if this happens, it would be nice if the Line Offset Parameters default could be changed.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
