exodus file not recognized in windows

One of my users provided an exodus file to me that is recognized in Linux land, but is not recognized on Windows. ParaView 5.5.2 does recognize and read this file correctly. Here is how to replicate:

  • Windows 5.6.0 (and nightly, on 1/16/2019).
  • Try to open file HP_AL_CTH_EP_NIF_V4_5x_3D_RadHyd_Full_Cyl.exo. ParaView doesn't know what reader to use.

Note - I can send this file to Kitware. It is large (5 GBytes).

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
