Export Scene as cinema database clipping images

Local ParaView (5.5.0-RC4 built from release branch, commit-1d562acb - options PARAVIEW_ENABLE_PYTHON and PARAVIEW_USE_MPI set to ON)

To recreate:

  • help -> example visualizations -> wavelet with volume rendering and contours
  • select ExtractSubset and show RTData with surface
  • file -> export scene as Cinema Database
  • Choose Camera Type as azimuth-elevation-roll -> save

The scene is saved as a smaller render view within the original render view:

Screen_Shot_2018-04-03_at_3.04.43_PM

  • Reset pipeline -> load in the saved Cinema Database

Some orientations of the database have parts that are missing. Depending on the window size while saving, there can be no parts missing are a lot missing.

Saved with a render view at about 1000x1000 pixels: Screen_Shot_2018-04-03_at_3.08.01_PM

Saved with a render view of about 300x1000 pixels and loading the cinema database:

Screen_Shot_2018-04-04_at_9.09.27_AM

With a large render view, about 2000x1000 pixels, there were no missing parts:

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
