Add outline by block and outline by dataset representation

From a user:

In the last 2 days 2 separate users have asked me how to get a block representation of a 2D Exodus multi-block dataset. By this I mean no elements showing – just the block outlines.

Normally I recommend taking a 3D dataset, running Extract Surfaces, then Slice, which produces exactly what they want. With a lot of stuff loaded in Paraview, they don’t want to load the 3D meshes in order to get a 2D representation of their model, especially if they already have a 2D geometry available. So it would look like this:

--image--

i.e., block boundaries shown but no elements shown. I will put submit this to the markmail if you don’t have any ideas, but I thought since you guys are the multi-block Exodus gurus, maybe you’ve done this already. image001

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
