Problems with third party site-packages when using paraview 5.4.1 with python (Windows 10)
Dear Developers, I am running Windows 10 (64 bit) with Python 2.7.11 (64 bit) and Paraview 5.4.1 (64 bit).
In order to use paraview within my python scripts, I added the following paths to the according system variables:
===================================================================================================
Add the folowing paths to "PYTHONPATH" variable:
C:\Program Files\ParaView 5.4.1-RC4-Qt5-OpenGL2-Windows-64bit\bin
C:\Program Files\ParaView 5.4.1-RC4-Qt5-OpenGL2-Windows-64bit\bin\Lib
C:\Program Files\ParaView 5.4.1-RC4-Qt5-OpenGL2-Windows-64bit\bin\Lib\site-packages
C:\Program Files\ParaView 5.4.1-RC4-Qt5-OpenGL2-Windows-64bit\bin\Lib\site-packages\vtk
Add the folowing paths to "PATH" and "Path" variables:
C:\Program Files\ParaView 5.4.1-RC4-Qt5-OpenGL2-Windows-64bit\bin
C:\Program Files\ParaView 5.4.1-RC4-Qt5-OpenGL2-Windows-64bit\bin\Lib
===================================================================================================
Afterwards, I was able to successfully
from paraview.simple import *
However, I was not able to import h5py, nor I was able to use pip to install any packages anymore.
I am turning back to Paraview 4.2.0, where these problems didn't occur.
Hope, that I could reveal a potential bug!
Best regards!
Konstantin
