Python trace or Python state doesn't capture selections

This issue was created automatically from an original Mantis Issue. Further discussion may take place here.

Steps to reproduce in the GUI:

  1. Start the Python trace
  2. Create Wavelet source & apply
  3. Select a cell
  4. Create an Extract Selection filter & apply
  5. Stop the trace

The selection doesn't show up in the trace.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
