Spreadsheet view and multiple blocks

Please change Spreadsheet View to include all blocks, not just the first block. This is confusing, and awkward. Here is a writeup from a user:
I guess I don't understand why showing more than 1 block at a time is a problem.
Suppose I am looking at shear strain in the Belt end region. I probably want to look at multiple components (blocks). I don't know why I shouldn't be allowed to select 2 or 3 or 4 blocks to be visible in the spreadsheet. I want to pick on elements and see their property values in the spreadsheet.
Yes, I can merge blocks beforehand but that is very limiting - once I merge blocks, I lose the ability to conveniently turn components on and off using the Multi-block inspector. I might have to extract 3 blocks to make a merged set, then examine that, then decide I want to look at adjoining elements in an adjoining block and have to repeat the whole thing over again.
As far as partial arrays, what is the difference between merging blocks and displaying in the spreadsheet and displaying all the individual blocks in the spreadsheet? I can't count the times I've had to merge all blocks, sort spreadsheet to get some max/min values, then delete the merged blocks to do some selection by blocks and proceed with other operations. It seems like an inefficiency to constantly have to merge blocks to see stuff in the spreadsheet. What advantage is there to only showing 1 block at a time?
