Save screenshot changes location of data
This issue was created automatically from an original Mantis Issue. Further discussion may take place here.
If a user puts together a fairly complex set of data and 2d graphs (probably other combinations), when the user takes a screenshot, the data transforms and possibly scales. This makes it very difficult to create complex presentation level screenshots.
This one was reported by Venus, and is a showstopper for him.
To replicate:
- Linux, master, local server.
- (Our goal here is to have four viewports - top two showing raw data, bottom two showing a 2d plot.)
- Mandlebrot. Apply.
- Now, in the properties tab, Transforming section, change Scale X to 1.4.
- Turn on Color legend.
- Split Vertical. Split top and bottom views horizontal (top first, bottom second).
- Plot over line. (It should fill the lower right view)
- Click on the lower left view, make PlotOverLine visible.
- Click on the upper right view, make Mandlebrot visible. Since this view lost the scale of 1.4, lets do it here also. Properties tab, Transorming, Scale X, 1.4. Turn on Color Legend.
- Now, in the upper two views, move the mandlebrot until they are exactly nested into the X and Y arrow of the Orientation Axis. (See screenshot).
- (Note that the scale below may need to change depending on the developer's screen resolution.)
- Now, take a screenshot. Turn off "Save only selected view". (See screenshot).
The two screenshots differ - and further, the left and right images don't match.
