Crash with the particle tracer in Paraview

This issue was created automatically from an original Mantis Issue. Further discussion may take place here.

Hello,

I found a crash happening with Paraview when I use the particle tracer. I cannot tell you exactly where the crash happens, but I attached a ZIP file with a configuration that lets Paraview crash:

  • Unzip the ZIP file
  • Read the configuration "state.pvsm" and define the source files to those in the ZIP file.
  • Click 4x on the "next" button to go forward in time. Reading the 4th file, Paraview crashes.

The reason is somewhere due to the particle tracer on the "top inflow" of the pipe. In the beginning, the particles are pushed outside of the domain. Somehow Paraview gets confused with this because all the particles of the top particle tracer are thrown out of the domain.

I discovered this error for all existing Paraview versions including 4.0RC2.

Regards,

Michael
