In the Paraview 5.6.0 64-bit GUI start a Python trace, and then create a geometry object (Sources->Alphabetical->Plane, say), change the corner coordinates to something else, and "Apply".
Now stop the trace and save the python trace file (file A) as a macro.
Reset/New session.
Start another trace, call the macro just created, stop the trace, save the python file as file B.
If you now compare files A and B, geometry data will be missing ...
For the above "plane" case:
# Properties modified on plane1
plane1.Origin = [-1.5, -1.5, 0.0]
plane1.Point1 = [1.5, -1.5, 0.0]
plane1.Point2 = [-1.5, 1.5, 0.0]
will have been lost between A and B, for example.
Running on Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS, Qt 5.10.1, Python 2.7.15, Numpy 1.15.1.
