<From the ParaView mailing list> For a file called "file.xyz.vtk" ParaView will use the plot3d reader - I would have expected it to be the vtk file format. This is only a minor bug as I should not have been so lazy when converting files!... but it had me confused for a while.

Users have been asking for statistics of field data. For example, what is the minimum/maximum data and in what point/cell does it occur? In addition to viewing it, you should be able to select and manipulate it. You should be able to click on the maximum value, see where that cell is, and then plot that cell over time. You should also be able to plot the absolute maximum over time.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/7038Feature: Coloring should remain constant between sessions2019-03-05T10:45:02-05:00Kitware RobotFeature: Coloring should remain constant between sessions**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=7038). I have a user (actually multiple users) that use a white background for ParaView. This is done to keep ink usage down when printing screenshots or movies. Whenever a user brings up annotate time, or the color legend, they have to re-select a text color that will show against this background.
Please add the ability or option (selected by default) that will keep previous colors for ALL text the same between sessions, or to be able to change and set the default.
Setting this to major since it is a real big pain for someone that needs a white background.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/7036Support file series of VTK/XML files2019-03-05T10:45:02-05:00Kitware RobotSupport file series of VTK/XML files**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=7036). The ability to read in a file series of VTK/XML files was removed because the VTK files themselves might define time in them. All the readers that read the XML/VTK data formats are calling GetOutput from within RequestData to get the output data to write to. The icon in the pipeline browser is supposed to reflect the default view that object should be shown in. The cube icon means that the data works best in a 3D view and will default to that type of view. A 2D image defaults to a 2D view, but the icon suggests that it works best in a 3D view. The icon for 2D images should be changed to something representing an image.
