Create a line source, run it through a calculator and give it cell data with a value of 1.
Create a plane source, run it through a calculator and give it cell data with a value of 2.
Click on the first calculator and then shift select the second calculator, then select append geometry from the filters menu.
Looks fine.
If instead one clicks on the second calculator and then shift selects the first calculator, the colors swap because it copied the cell values to the wrong cells.

There is a legacy VTK data file in the VTKData repository that cannot be read in by ParaView: VTKData/Data/financial.vtk. This data file has only field data. When you try to read it in, ParaView claims that it does not recognize it and asks for an appropriate reader.
Now that ParaView is starting to do things with field data, it makes sense that we should be able to read in this type of data.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/5886Add support for plotting multiple points/cells over time2019-03-05T10:46:55-05:00Kitware RobotAdd support for plotting multiple points/cells over time**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=5886). If you usually have the LightKit lighting on (like I do) you will find that sometimes when you load state files you have created, the lights are applied twice. I can replicate with the following.
1. Start ParaView.
2. Go to View Setting and turn the default light off and the light kit lighting on.
3. Load the attached state file. It is just a sphere lighted with light kit.
When you load the state file, it looks very bright. That is because the lights defined in the state file were applied without turning off the lights already on in the scene.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/5873Save Anim on Server does not work with custom filter2019-03-05T10:46:55-05:00Kitware RobotSave Anim on Server does not work with custom filter**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=5873). Open can.ex2 and then choose Sequence or real time mode in Animation View. The current time in the Time Control Works fine, but the greyed out time step in the Time Control becomes stuck, thereafter showing incorrect information whenever the time is changed. It should either show nothing in this mode, or work like the current time window does when it is greyed out, preventing input but always updating to show the correct information. For the time step it should probably show the index of the maximum time sample lower than or equal to the actual time, or possibly the nearest time sample depending on which the source uses.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/5866Exodus writer loses cell data2019-03-05T10:46:55-05:00Kitware RobotExodus writer loses cell data**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=5866). ---
It would be very nice to have a panel that lists the available time domains of all readers, sources and filters in the pipeline. Right now one has to navigate to the information tab of every filters Object Inspector Panel and then scribble down the values on a post-it note.
The simplest thing to do would be to add a "Temporal Bounds" column to the Statistics View that lists the time ranges and/or discrete time samples for every dataset.
It would be more intuitive to have a graphical representation of the same data. In this case one could visually see when temporal sources have overlapping or non overlapping ranges. Another useful addition would be a vertical bar that shows the current time.
