The script should be automatic so that the user doesn't need to know what channels the adaptor is capable of creating. Also, the script needs to create a full grid output for each channel. The only user input for the script should be the output frequency. This will mimic what users have been doing for the Catalyst V1 workflow and is very familiar to them.5.11 (Spring 2022)Cory Quammencory.quammen@kitware.comCory Quammencory.quammen@kitware.comhttps://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/21549Segfault when computing gradient of a vector on polyhedral cells2022-09-12T23:53:05-04:00LukaszSegfault when computing gradient of a vector on polyhedral cellsI am working on a grid that contains also polyhedral cells and my Paraview (5.10) crashes whenever I compute gradient of the velocity vector. With 4 connected polys I get the above mentioned segfault.

* 5.9.1, builtin server, Linux.
* Load disk_out_ref.exo. All vars. Apply.
* Paint by Global Node Id.
* Open Color Map Editor.
Now, we want to create additional control points in the color map, and edit them.
* The color map has three control points. It is left, middle and right. Click (one click) half way between the blue, left, control point and the white, middle control point.
* Click (double click) between this new control point and the center control point. We double clicked because we want to edit the color of this point. Change it to yellow. OK.
DO EXACTLY AS FOLLOWS:
* Notice that one of the points on the color map (the yellow one) is still highlighted. Now, slide the mouse from the renderview onto the color map from the left. Move it across the color map towards the right. The control point will move! Control points should only move if the mouse is down.
This is a bug that was not present in 5.8.0. It is impacting anyone trying to modify color maps. Marking as required.
This is impacting Francesca from LANL, thus I am adding the LANL tag. @patchett20025.11 (Spring 2022)Aron HelserAron Helserhttps://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/21554Bring in and Visualize polygon and polyline to paraview2022-09-13T18:18:52-04:00Leila SaberiBring in and Visualize polygon and polyline to paraviewHi, I'm using paraview v 5.10.1 and would like to bring in a polyline or a polygon and overlay on top of my vtk file (have a figure with vtk overlaid by my polyline and polygon). I can see my shapefiles when I have the vtk file off, but when I have the vtk file on, it overlays the shapefiles - it seems like the shapefile has lower z - As you can see in the image attached the shapefile is falling within the vtk file! When using the "Line Chart View" with a composite data set, if the composite data set is initially empty (on the first apply operation for example) the data will not be visible in the chart view. This is normal. However, upon subsequent filling of the composite structure with data, the Chart View does not update and the data remains invisible with no immediate way for the user to remedy it.
# Steps to reproduce
* run paraview
* open this timeseries, the first step is empty, and do not press apply ([stuff.tgz](https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/uploads/d7de1bac3e6e87b182faf0a114b4e36c/stuff.tgz))
* create a new layout and open a line chart view
* press apply, nothing appears, this is expected.
* switch to second timestep, nothing appears, this is not expected since the second time step does have data

I am using Paraview 5.10.1 to create contours and I would like to label my contours for multiple figures and would like to make it automated. Currently I created a macro script that does everything up to labeling contours: it clips the map, transform it, converts to points, create the contour, but does not label the contours! And since I have to run this for over 100 cases, I cannot label them manually! Could you please let me know if this feature exist in Paraview 5.10.1 or is there a way I can include it in my macro script?

* open several files (doesn't matter which) or create mutiple sources.
* next group all of them using "Group Datasets".
While now you can apply filters to the group collectively, the names used for each of the source in the pipeline browser are not preserved in the multiblock structure and hence one cannot effectively use the Multblock Inspector to control block visibilities etc.
We need a "Group Dataset" mode where the names for inputs are preserved.5.10 (Fall 2021)https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/21498Clean up Manage Plugins2022-09-20T10:00:16-04:00W.
