Start up ParaView and then create a Mandelbrot source with the default values. Because the Mandelbrot is a 2D image, it by default goes into a 2D view rather than the 3D view that is available. The current behavior of ParaView splits the current view, creates a new 2D view, and places the Mandelbrot there.
This behavior feels weird. The 3D view is empty and worthless. What do I need it for? I'm always compelled to delete it (rather than take up space). I think it makes much more sense to replace an empty view with a new view type. This is a generic feature and should work for any view type, not just Mandelbrot/2D images.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/7132Mapped colors tinted by solid color2019-03-05T10:44:55-05:00Kitware RobotMapped colors tinted by solid color**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=7132). ---
When a color map is applied to the surface of an object, it gets inappropriately tinted by the solid color of the object. To replicate:
1. Load disk_out_ref with at least one point array enabled.
2. Change the solid color to something other than white.
3. Change the color by to one of the point variables.
Compare the colors to the scalar bar. You will clearly see that the colors are tinted by the color set for the solid color.
The problem appears to be how the scalar bar texture is mapped onto the surface. The problem does not occur when mapping a cell variable or turning off the Interpolate Colors option. (By the way, isn't this flag backwards? Aren't you interpolating scalars when this flag is on and interpolating colors when it is off?)https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/7131"Input" and "Source" names are hard coded for multiple input filters2019-03-05T10:44:55-05:00Kitware Robot"Input" and "Source" names are hard coded for multiple input filters**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=7131). Multiple input filters must have their input properties named "Input" and "Source" in filters.xml. If they are not named this way they apear grayed out in the paraview menus. This name scheme makes sense for most of vtk's multiple input filters but doesn't make sense for all multiple input filters. In some cases having the inputs named "Input" and "Source" make things more confusing as that pattern doesn't fit the filters operation.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/7130In the multiple input editor new filter appears to be connected to the wrong ...2019-03-05T10:44:55-05:00Kitware RobotIn the multiple input editor new filter appears to be connected to the wrong output of parent**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=7130). in the select source tree, new filter appears as a child of the first output of the filter that was highlighted when it was created. It would make more sense since at this point it isn't know weather the input will be connected to the first or second output to show it as a child of the root node of the filter that was highlighted when it was created.

2. Create a spreadsheet view. The sphere should automatically become visible in the spreadsheet.
3. Select some rows in the spreadsheet.
4. With the spreadsheet view still active, create an extract selection filter, copy the active selection, and apply. The spreadsheet view will now show the active selection.
