Running current ParaView head, when I go to tools, record new test, save the file name the output messages window pops up with the message, "Internal error: playEvent called without a valid event source." The test seems to record successfully, but if I change the view type it fails with an error such as, "Event error "activate" object QMenu(0x2195f80, name = "FrameContextMenu")". This was working for me when I recorded the original tests for the charts.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/10413Bug with vtkEnSightWriter about writing vector cell data2019-03-05T10:40:11-05:00Kitware RobotBug with vtkEnSightWriter about writing vector cell data**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=10413). There is a bug with vtkEnSightWiriter.cxx about writing vector cell data.
Specifically, the loop order around the comment "write the Cell Data for this part" is not correct
Please look at the attached file:
1. I changed the for-loop order.
2. I added VTK_POLYGON and VTK_CONVEX_POINT_SET to the types of cells.

With PARAVIEW_INSTALL_DEVELOPMENT turned on.
- make && make install
- the bin/ and lib/ are built
Since the install directory contains about 5800 "*.cxx.o" files (273MB
worth), it needs to be cleaned up before distributing the development
install tree for building plugins.
Using the make target 'clean' removes the "*.cxx.o* files, but also
removes all of the bin/ files - rendering the installation useless.
On a positive note, the contents of lib/paraview-MAJOR are left
intact.
It seems that a clean development install tree cannot be realized
without writing external cleanup scripts.

As per Greenfield, our TextureMapToSphere "Prevent Seam" is wrong. What it tries to do is draw the texture on the sphere twice. What it should do is draw the texture on the sphere, then CONTINUE to draw it one more time around. That way, if there are minor holes, the second draw of the texture will catch it.
A good test texture is here: Use the world map, found at http://www.oera.net/How2/PlanetTexs/EarthMap_2500x1250.jpghttps://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/10405TextureMapToSphere is not multiple server aware2020-01-07T22:55:40-05:00Kitware RobotTextureMapToSphere is not multiple server aware**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=10405). * Notice that the earth looks good.
* Filters/ Alphabetical/ TextureMapToSphere.
* On the Display tab, Apply Texture.
* Notice that the earth looks reversed.
We are speculating this is because the original developer of this filter wanted to be able to wrap the texture on a sphere, and that the user then moved the eye INSIDE of the sphere - thus making the sphere the 3d window background. Thus, please make a user selectable option allowing the user to reverse the texture if desired.5.13 (Summer 2024)https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/10403Allow Cube Axes to be set by user2019-03-05T10:40:11-05:00Kitware RobotAllow Cube Axes to be set by user**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=10403). For the "hard-test" with PARAVIEW_INSTALL_DEVELOPMENT turned on.
- make && make install
- relocate the built tree somewhere else
- rename the source tree to another name
(to check if the source tree really isn't needed).
After doing this, and setting ParaView_DIR to point to the new
location, building a separate plugin still fails, due to the following
bits from the plug CMakeLists.txt:
FIND_PACKAGE(ParaView REQUIRED)
INCLUDE(${PARAVIEW_USE_FILE})
The $ParaView_DIR/ParaViewConfig.cmake is found and it contains
references to the now non-existent paraview source directory.
If I move $ParaView_DIR/ParaViewConfig.cmake out of the way, the
$ParaView_DIR/lib/paraview-3.7/ParaViewConfig.cmake file is correctly
found and the build succeeds.

Notice that u of the u,v pair, goes from 0-1, then 1-0. Shouldn't it go from 0-1 (i.e., u==0 at degrees == 0, u == 0.5 at degrees == 180, and u = 1.0 at degrees = 360)? Either this is a bug, or a feature that should be added.
