This could either be an animatiuon or an exodus reader issue.
Need to be able to read exodus files with sequential or overlapping timesteps and animate them as a single sequence. The common case here is restart files --typically if a simulation crashes and has to be restarted we wind up with a sequence of files named test.e, test.e-s0002, test.e-s0003 ...
Each file will contain one or more timesteps (in some cases overlapping -- typically each subsequent file repeats the last timestep or two from the previous one with the later files timesteps being the correct ones). We need a way to open a all of these files (even if each one is split geometrically as well) and animate all of them sequentially over time.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/5460Log color legend is incorrect2019-03-05T10:47:55-05:00Kitware RobotLog color legend is incorrect**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=5460). The color legend is displaying the colors vs numbers correctly, but in the wrong format. If I have a variable that ranges from 1 to 10000, it currently will use 1,2500,5000, 7500, 10000. It should use 1,10,100,1000,10000. In other words, use 10e0, 10e1, 10e2, 10e3, and then 10e4. This needs to be fixed for 3.2 for a very important visualization.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/5459Cannot write pvd file in parallel.2019-03-05T10:47:55-05:00Kitware RobotCannot write pvd file in parallel.**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=5459). In 2.61 all versions and in 3.0.2 linux when you open a exodus file in the same directory with an artifact.dta file the exodus reader automatically selects the artifact.dta file as the "xml file" and loads it. This makes the materials and hierarchy data available in the properties tab.
In 3.0.2 in Windows, the reader does NOT find the file. Furthermore if you select the artifact.dta file as the xml file under file pattern and apply, any interaction with the block list (like unchecking any block) will crash ParaView with a QT error.
Since this makes ParaView 3.x unusable for DART, this bug is a showstopper for ParaView 3.2.

When doing client server when split screen, then do a state save and then load, ParaView never comes back. I suspect that the server is dying.
Linux, Client/server connect, 1 node.
Open disk_out_ref.exo. Accept.
Split screen horizontal. Click eyeball, displaying there also.
File/ Save State.
CLOSE ParaView.
Open Paraview, client/server, 1 node.

(*) means undo step created
* create a sphere
* add a keyframe for center(0)
go to index 1
*add another keyframe
go back to index 1
* change time to 0.5
* change value to 1
Hit undo and instead of changing the value back to 0, it removed a keyframe.
hit undo again, and it removes all keyframes.
hitting redo twice doesn't give you back the same stuff. Also, shutting down at this point gives a segfault.
compare:
* create a sphere
* add a keyframe for center(0)
*add another keyframe
* change value to 1
hit undo and value goes from 1 to 0.
hit undo and middle keyframe is removed
hit undo and all keyframes are removed
that works as expected

Do the following:
1. Create a sphere source.
2. Add the elevation filter.
3. Open the Color Scale Editor dialog box.
4. Create a control point near either end of the color scale.
5. Change the new control point's scalar value by editing the value in the Scalar Value line edit box.
In order to change the control point's scalar value, you have to enter an out-of-range value (equivalent to 0). I have seen this cause different problems on different platforms. On Windows, it outputs an error (if you type slow enough). On Linux, it refused to accept the value and changed the line edit value back to its original value.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/5432wrong keyframe created after creating camera keyframe2019-03-05T10:48:01-05:00Kitware Robotwrong keyframe created after creating camera keyframe**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=5432). The current default colors used for X-Y plots are not very vibrant. That is, it is a little hard to differentiate them as they are all different shades of only two or three colors. Most plotting programs default to very different colors to make them easy to tell apart.
I suggest the following set of default colors with the given RGB values (in the order to apply them). I got most of them from the ColorBrewer web site (www.colorbrewer.org), and they conform to the set of unique hues defined by Colin Ware.
