We need the ability to toggle block selections without effecting other blocks. For instance, if I want to select two blocks using the 'b' command, it would be userful to be able to select 'b', then <ctrl> 'b' on another block.
Another use for this <ctrl> function would be that if the user ever used "Select cells on", with the <ctrl> key down, it would select all BLOCKS that held cells that were rubber band selected.
Maybe a stretch goal would be that if the user used the <alt> key when the "Select cells on" rubber band was used, only those blocks that had all cells selected would be highlighted. Selecting a washer within a nut/bolt group comes to mind.

There is a precision issue in ParaView when displaying variables using log data. Bug appears on XP, 3.2.1 and trunk.
* Open can.exo. Turn all variables on, apply.
* Color by PedigreeNodeId. Display/ Edit color map/ select Use Logarithmic Scale.
* Rescale to Data Range.
* Split horizontal
* Calculator - use PedigreeNodeId*0.001*0.001. This will go into result, which is what we will color by.
* Display/ Edit color map/ select Use Logarithmic Scale.
* Rescale to Data Range.
Look at the blue areas on the can. They look different.

Edge and face variable support is no longer in ParaView. This must be working for ParaView 3.4.
I have a test file, named source1.exii. Ask me for this file. Open the file, turn on all Blocks and variables. Notice BFLUX and ECIRC. Try to color by these variables. ParaView doesn't know about them. Next, try to bring them up in the calculator. Once again, ParaView doesn't know about them.

Currently for partial arrays to work, we are disabling error messages in filters when arrays are missing. However, that means that if the user indeed chose a wrong array name, he would get no errors/warnings.
A possible fix would be to auto-insert an extract-block filter which extract only the blocks for which the selected arrays are available.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/6924Applying filter to 2D view causes crash2019-03-05T10:45:15-05:00Kitware RobotApplying filter to 2D view causes crash**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=6924).
