A user should be able to save only a subset of the frames using Save Animation. This would be useful for very, very long movies where clusters timeout, or individual machines crash.
For instance, if you have a dataset with 2000 frames, a user should be able to output frames 0 through 1000 in one run, then frames 1001 through 2000 in the next run.
This is an important feature, and should be in 4.0 if possible.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/14033Configuration error with CMake 2.8.102018-08-08T22:26:35-04:00Kitware RobotConfiguration error with CMake 2.8.10**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=14033). We split apart vtkCPProcessor into vtkCPPythonProcessor and vtkCPProcessor. vtkCPPythonProcessor does initialization for ParaView and Python for Catalyst but vtkCPProcessor only does initialization for ParaView. vtkCPProcessor did used to also do initialization for Python though so we need to add in a warning/error that the code has changed if they try to add in a vtkCPPythonScriptPipeline if only vtkCPProcessor is being used, otherwise bad things will likely happen.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/14023Add function file support to PLOT3d2018-08-08T22:26:37-04:00Kitware RobotAdd function file support to PLOT3d**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=14023). Paraview cannot be built against protobuf as supplied by a Linux distribution:
- The module name is incorrectly capitalized, resulting in the find module not being executed.
- vtkPVServerImplementationCore fails to link to pthread, which is required by inline/generated protobuf code.
- The protoc compiler is expected to be in imported target, but should be ${PROTOBUF_PROTOC_EXECUTABLE}.
