There is a systematic segfault with the following code in pvpython :
Basically, Creating and rendering a first view, then Creating and rendering a second render view, then destroying the first view, will put the second in a unstable state that will lead to a segfault.
Does not reproduce in paraview.
Steps to reproduce :
```python
from paraview.simple import *
import gc
v=CreateRenderView()
Render(v)
w=CreateRenderView()
Render(w)
Delete(v)
del v
gc.collect() # not absolutally necessary, the destructor will be called eventually
Render(w)
[xcb] Most likely this is a multi-threaded client and XInitThreads has not been called
[xcb] Aborting, sorry about that.
pvpython: xcb_io.c:161: append_pending_request: Assertion `!xcb_xlib_unknown_seq_number' failed.
Aborted (core dumped)
In the Extract bag plot filter, in the Functional Bag plot Data, you cannot choose the outlier detection parameter which is by default 1%.
Data sample to illustrate that issue is in the attachment.
---
When calling the filter histogram, a bar chart view is created with rounded values in the X-axis. In order to know a bar correspond to which interval, the X-axis must have values corresponding to the interval of computation of each bar. This can be obtained via:
- View properties
- Bottom axis layout
- Specify axis labels explicitly
- Generate:
- From: min value of the field
- To: max value of the field
- Steps: number of bars + 1
This should be the default behaviour so as to understand what each bar means. https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/14947Selections in line plots don't work properly when cell-based selections are m...2020-05-06T04:44:37-04:00Kitware RobotSelections in line plots don't work properly when cell-based selections are made in render view**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=14947). + Show output of Plot Data in both the "Render View" and "Line Chart View".
+ Switch to show surface in Render View so you can make selections on it.
If you select points in Render View, they show up properly in the Line Chart View. If you select cells, however, the Chart View doesn't show correct selection.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/14861Color legend incorrect if empty title given from the python2021-03-23T09:58:04-04:00Kitware RobotColor legend incorrect if empty title given from the python**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=14861). Execute attached script test_color_legend.py (attached in the script+data.tar.gz) several times in the Python Shell.(Before executing correct the path to the deplacements_et_contraintes.0001.vtu file if need). As shown on attached screen-shots, we randomly get a blue color legend at the bottom of the viewer, or a color legend without the Component, or a color legend whose Component is displayed under the color legend.
In the attached script replace
color_legend_title = ""
by the
color_legend_title = " "
and execute the script several times. The display is correct.
It should be able to create a color legend with the empty title from python, as it is possible from the GUI.https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/12968Add opaque background to selection labels2020-05-04T04:56:09-04:00Kitware RobotAdd opaque background to selection labels**This issue was created automatically from an original [Mantis Issue](http://paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=12968). Add a "Hint" tag that can be used in the xml files to specify a given array (typically, this would point to the "ActiveScalars", "ActiveVectors"... ).
This array will then be used to color the output by defaut.
hard-coding the array name could aslo be supported.
