      Remove vtk(Cxx|Type)RevisionMacro · 2eee7d11
      Mark Olesen authored
The CVS $Revision$ keyword replacement will no longer maintain these
macros automatically. They were used only to implement CollectRevisions
and vtkObjectBase::PrintRevisions, an API that was never used.

      Automated as follows:

        pass 0:
        catch templates
        ---------------
        $ git grep 'vtk\(Cxx\|Type\)RevisionMacro' | grep '<'

        pass 1:
        main changes
        ---------------
$ git grep -l '^vtkCxxRevisionMacro' | while read file; do
          echo "$file" 1>&2
          perl -i -ne 'print unless (/^vtkCxxRevisionMacro/ and /\)/)' $file
        done
$ git grep -l -e 'vtkTypeRevisionMacro(' | while read file; do
          echo "$file" 1>&2
          perl -i -pe 's/vtkTypeRevisionMacro/vtkTypeMacro/g' $file
        done

        pass 2:
        verify
        ---------------
        $ git grep 'vtk\(Cxx\|Type\)RevisionMacro'

Fixed multi-line vtkCxxRevisionMacro and templates by hand.

      ENH: · 98ab318d
      Utkarsh Ayachit authored
      1) Added support to the Server Manager to save/load extra-detailed state of a proxy (called Revival state) which has additional information about object IDs. Revival state is used to revive proxies which have server side components already created.
      2) Added new classes: vtkSMProxyManagerReviver, vtkSMServerProxyManagerReviver. Former is an abstract base class while latter revives a server side proxy manager. It revives all proxies except displays and rendermodules which are created afresh.
      3) Added new classes called ConnectionCleaners which can be instantiated on server side to to some processing after a connection is closed. This is how we can save a movie after the client disconnects.
      4) Includes bunch of API additions to the ProcessModule to facilitate all of the above.

Organize ParaQ source tree like ParaView · 4d828c62
      Utkarsh Ayachit authored
Update CMake scripts to work with the restructured repository.

A new CVS repository was created on 2006-03-22 to re-organize the
ParaQ source tree into a layout similar to that of ParaView 2.x and
drop the Tcl/Tk GUI. This was in preparation for the final transition
to the Qt-based GUI as the official ParaView 3.0 GUI. This commit was
manufactured during conversion from CVS to represent the layout change
as part of the first commit to the new repository.

      Start ParaQ · 690993db
      Andy Cedilnik authored
A new CVS repository was created on 2005-09-27 to fork ParaView during
development of a Qt-based replacement for the Tcl/Tk GUI. The "ParaQ"
repository began with a single subdirectory symbolic link to the main
ParaView repository. ParaQ-specific files were added in sibling
directories to keep them outside the main ParaView during development.

The ParaQ repository was actually created on 2005-09-05 but no commits
outside the main ParaView repository were made until 2005-09-27. The
latter date was the true fork point. This commit was manufactured
during conversion from CVS to represent the fork as a branch.

Start new ParaView tree layout · 74dd7b26
      Andy Cedilnik authored
A new CVS repository was created on 2004-03-12 to fork ParaView during
transition to a new source tree layout. The new repository was
created using a combination of directory-level server-side symlinks
into the old repository and copies of ,v files to preserve per-file
history. This commit was manufactured during conversion from CVS to
represent the fork as a branch.

The new source tree layout added Utilities/IceT which was not
previously distributed as part of the source. We represent this
addition by adding the IceT submodule.

Create ParaViewComplete with ParaView and VTK · d8766293
      Bill Hoffman authored
A new "ParaViewComplete" CVS repository was created on 2001-10-25 to
combine the ParaView source tree with a corresponding VTK source tree.
The repository contained a few top-level files and two symbolic links
pointing at the ParaView and VTK repositories as subdirectories. This
made it easy to build ParaView against a matching version of VTK, and
to build VTK with the proper settings.

Although it was possible to build ParaView against an outside VTK, the
ParaViewComplete source tree became the preferred approach. All
releases of ParaView were distributed as complete trees. This commit
was manufactured during conversion from CVS to represent the
transition to the combined source tree by renaming all files into the
ParaView/ subdirectory and adding the VTK submodule.
