      The new new reader architecture allows for things such as
      time series without changes to the subclasses.  To benefit
      from this, ported all legacy VTK readers to this architecture.
      
      Also developed a simple reader superclass. This superclass
      can be used to implement algorithms that are neither time
      aware nor parallel.
      
      Also rearchitected the Xdmf readers so that they don't
      unnecessarily subclass from VTK legacy readers.

      This required some clean up, because the automatic changes borked a couple of files, but mostly resulted in stupid whitespacing. A few find/replace fixed things up.
      
      There are now some duplicate semis because it did changes like:
      
        ~AMRIndexIterator() override{};
      to
        ~AMRIndexIterator() override= default;;
      
      Note there was a pointless semi before, which clang-tidy didn’t expect / account for.
      
      My next commit will remove them.

      Adding in functionality to allow inserting vtkNew objects into
      stl containers of vtkSmartPointer objects as well as comparisons
      between vtkNew objects and raw pointers. Also removing Get() and
      GetPointer() calls from vtkNew objects since in most instances we
      can just pass in the vtkNew<> object instead of having to use the
      Get() or GetPointer() methods to get the raw pointer.

      CHECK_ERROR_MSG and CHECK_WARNING_MSG are used to check the
      content of error and warning messages. Error and warning code is often
      overlooked during testing. Over the years, these two macros have been
      refined to increase their utility. Tests that use the macros defined
      their own interpretations. Three different API's have been used in the
      macros.
      
      This patch replaces the CHECK_ERROR_MSG and CHECK_WARNING_MSG macros
      with methods for vtkTest::ErrorObserver.  All tests that used the
      CHECK macros in one form or another have been updated to use the
      CheckErrorMessage and CheckWarningMessage methods.

      Refactor vtkDebugLeaks construction. · e5c793db

      vtkDebugLeaks registers instance by class name, which worked well for
      many years. However, now that we have more templated code, this is
      becoming difficult. For instance, "template <typename T> vtkBuffer<T>"
      would be identified as "vtkBuffer<T>" when registering with
      vtkDebugLeaks, but deregistered with the compiler dependent
      typeid(vtkBuffer<T>).name() string returned from GetClassName().
      
      This patch moves vtkDebugLeaks registrations to the method
      vtkObjectBase::InitializeObjectBase(), which must be called after the
      vtkObjectBase is instantiated. This ensures that objects are
      registered using the same string as when they are destroyed. In
      general, a call to "new vtkSomeClass" must be followed by a call to
      InitializeObjectBase on the new instance. The common ::New()
      implementation macros in vtkObjectFactory will ensure that
      registration happens correctly.
      
      Two notable exceptions are vtkCommand and vtkInformationKey
      subclasses. These do not require any specific handling for
      vtkDebugLeaks registration.

      This commit reindents the code with the following utility:
      Utilities/Maintenance/vtk-reindent-code.py
      
      This utility changes the positions of the braces so that they are no
      longer indented relative to the code block they reside in.

      The current dependency relationship in vtk is unclear and misleading.
      This MR tries to rewrite them based on header files inclusion of headers
      and source files in each module. Corner cases are considered and
      modules are sorted in alphabetical order to facilitate future reference.
      See details in my gitlab python based script project. In future we can continue
      using this script to clean the VTK Dependency easily from
      time to time.

      It doesn't seem to have got everything, but it's a start.
      
      Some resulting whitespace is suboptimal, but one day
      we can fix that with clang-format. :)

      (I actually had to build my own clang to make clang-tidy
      output "VTK_OVERRIDE" instead of "override".)

      Perl was used to remove all the BTX and ETX markers from the code.
      The specific command that was run on all "vtk*.h" files was this:
          perl -0777 -i -pe 's/(\n* *\/\/ *[BE]TX *\n+)+/\n\n/g'
      
      This regex replaces each BTX/ETX line, plus any leading or trailing
      blank lines, with a single blank line.

      SafeDownCast performs a series of virtual calls and string comparisons,
      which is quite slow, especially when used in worker functions.
      
      vtkArrayDownCast will switch between SafeDownCast and the more
      efficient FastDownCast (only available for common vtkAbstractArray
      subclasses) depending on whether or not FastDownCast is defined for
      the specific array type.
