VTK upgrade breaks the VegaFEM example with segfault

The segmentation fault happens in vtkOpenGLRenderWindow::GetColorBufferSizes, specifically when this function calls:

glGetFramebufferAttachmentParameteriv(GL_DRAW_FRAMEBUFFER,
        attachment,
        GL_FRAMEBUFFER_ATTACHMENT_RED_SIZE, &size);

here. This seems to be happening in Linux, can't be reproduced in Mac OSX.
