Modified resources should be marked

There should be a clear visual indication when resources are modified and, preferably, a dialog that prevents accidental exits with modified resources.

@dcthomp - My understanding is this was potentially resolved by 4dae8ebbc1cbe0f8eff0c70f809544c40c425e4e but it did not update the resource panel as expected.

The other oddity is now the "eyeball" in the resource panel is no longer there.

@chart3388 The handle-operation-result branch and the eyeball issues are separate. This is about providing visual feedback that a resource needs to be saved before closing/quitting and not about resources/components failing to appear after an operation. But thanks for bringing the other issues up. I believe we've resolved the problem with models not appearing after operations but will file a ticket (#212) for the eyeball issue.

This issue is partially resolved with 8f04cd3f.
