Unable to generate with Visual Studio 2017 with "Visual Studio 2019 build tools"
Hi,
I am not sure if I am doing anything wrong here. I just installed the VS2017 build tools with the installer that comes with VS2019 build tools (14.1 for x86 & x64).
I then open a terminal and type:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2019\BuildTools\VC\Auxiliary\Build\vcvarsall.bat" amd64 10.0.17134.0 -vcvars_ver=14.1
to get the developer tools. cl
is found and shows this:
Microsoft (R) C/C++ Optimizing Compiler Version 19.16.27027.1 for x64
Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
usage: cl [ option... ] filename... [ /link linkoption... ]
When I run cmake 3.14.1 on a specific project, I have the following error:
Generator
Visual Studio 15 2017 Win64
could not find any instance of Visual Studio.
that is triggered by the line
project("aws-cpp-sdk-all" VERSION "${PROJECT_VERSION}" LANGUAGES CXX)
The error log CMakeFiles\CMakeOutput.log
contains only this line:
The system is: Windows - 10.0.17763 - AMD64
What am I doing wrong? I cannot install VS 2017 build tools anymore as they disappeared from MS website ...
Thanks!
