Setting variables CTEST_CUSTOM_MAXIMUM_FAILED_TEST_OUTPUT_SIZE and CTEST_CUSTOM_MAXIMUM_PASSED_TEST_OUTPUT_SIZE has no effect
Hi,
when using CMake versions after 3.7.2 I realized that the variables CTEST_CUSTOM_MAXIMUM_FAILED_TEST_OUTPUT_SIZE and CTEST_CUSTOM_MAXIMUM_PASSED_TEST_OUTPUT_SIZE doesn't work any longer as expected. The code uploaded to my CDash server is no longer truncated. Even the default value[ of 1024 for CTEST_CUSTOM_MAXIMUM_PASSED_TEST_OUTPUT_SIZE doesn't work. Even for passed tests always the full output is uploaded to the CDash server.
A small cmake project showing the effect is attached to the issue. When building the project with CMake 3.7.2 and running "make Experimental" the uploaded code is truncated at the defined length. If using CMake 3.8.0 or newer the uploaded code is not truncated at all.
The results can be found at https://cdash.gsi.de/index.php?project=cmake-example&date=2019-02-05
