Help with CPack package and naming
Hi,
My team chose a project name ‘xrt’ for which we generate RPM and DEB packages using cmake/cpack. We now want to add plugin packages that can be installed beside our base package. For this, components seem to be ideal. We have vendor specific modules that we assign a vendor specific component name, and when CPack component generation is enabled, it nicely creates xrt-foo.rpm and .deb. Unfortunately, our base package name now changes to xrt-Unspecified. If we specify a default package name ('core' for example) we can rename the default component package to 'xrt-core'. Our problem is that our current users do not want to ditch the old installed package ‘xrt’ to replace with ‘xrt-core’. Is there a way we can use component installations and keep the default package name as ‘xrt’ and our components ‘xrt-<component_name>’?
Best regards, Ryan
