Add the ability to generate a .cmake configuration file
It would be nice if cmake could generate a .cmake configuration file, usable as a -C parameter.
Usecase 1 :
- User iteratively configure a project with -C, -D, and ccmake
- User then want to replicate the same configuration in a new clean build directory
Usecase 2 :
- User iteratively configure a project with -C, -D, and ccmake
- User then want to share this configuration with User2 with minimal effort
There is currently doable only manually by either :
- Iterativaly creating and ever increasing in size -D based command and copying it somewhere
- Painfully creating a .cmake file line by line
And of course
- Always log what you do when you uses ccmake
