Description of "cmake -D" incomplete/misleading
According to cmake --help
or man cmake
, the -D
option "creates a cmake cache entry". However, it not only creates a cache entry, but it can also be used to modify an existing entry. Could the documentation be updated to reflect that? It might seem like a small thing but it actually took me some time to figure this out as I was trying to find the best way to modify a cache entry from the command line without editing CMakeCache.txt
directly. (I'll start a merge request if the devs think it's worth it.)
