VS: CUDA target machine does not show correctly in IDE
Good evening, First of all, thank you for making CUDA a first-class citizen and making visual studio to work well with it, I really appreciate it. I am currently facing two issues when following the Cuda blog post: https://devblogs.nvidia.com/parallelforall/building-cuda-applications-cmake/
First, is setting the architecture for which I wish to compile my kernels:
cmake -DCMAKE_CUDA_FLAGS=”-arch=sm_61”
This doesn't seem to have any effect, I still get the default value sm_30, no matter the value I feed in, no errors or warnings, the actual full command I am running:
cmake ../ -G"Visual Studio 15 2017 Win64" -DCMAKE_CUDA_FLAGS=”-arch=sm_61”
Finally, I don't seem to be able to set the x64 bit for the cuda compilation from cmake, even though I am using an x64 generator, do I need some different flags like Thost="x64" or similar? I would love to know if there is a doc page with all the nice details about the cuda integration, I could not find much when searching the CMake doc. Any help would be greatly appreciated
