PowerMac-G4/LFS: bootstrap of cmake hangs, after falling in "defunct" state
I am building cmake-3.21.3 on a PowerMac-G4, running LFS-11.0 (Linux From Scratch). I apply this bootstrap command:
../bootstrap --prefix=/usr \
--system-libs \
--mandir=/share/man \
--no-system-jsoncpp \
--no-system-librhash \
--docdir=/share/doc/cmake-3.21.2
The process hangs randomly after a shorter or longer time. The "top" program then shows (this is just an example):
top - 13:49:53 up 5:28, 2 users, load average: 0,01, 0,39, 0,68

Any idea what is causing tyhis, and how to work around it?
