cpack: enrich .deb debugsymbols with algo from .rpm
Both deb and rpm generators may produce debugsymbols packages, and they became better and better over releases. However, they are different. Rpm provides both, debuginfo with inherited common part in separate files, and also includes all the sources as part of debuginfo. That is really helpful in real life investigating incidents. Deb provides only elementary debuginfo, with plain directly one binary -> one debuginfo, and no sources.
I understand, that such info is more matter of legacy backend tools which cpack invokes to build the packages, but naturally speaking, result of rpms is much better designed in the case.
Could deb generator use achievements from rpm? Say, as generate deb, then generate rpm (from the same base with same binaries, and so, with same build-id), and then just repack rpm's debuginfo into complement debian debuginfo package?
