Volume slicer for visualization of volume image or volume mesh in an arbitrarily oriented plane
This relates to #81 (closed) and #82 (closed)
Volume image inspector provides an exciting interactive tool to visualize image in three orthogonal planes of the image. The directions of plane normals however are constrained by the image planes as stored. An added (and potentially useful) capacity will be to clip the image volume in a user-define plane orientation and location. This can be similar to Paraview clipping plane functionality.
Per our previous discussions (@aron.helser), this may be challenging if the whole image volume need to be resampled in a new, oriented coordinate system. One way to tackle is to maybe sample the image for points that lie on the clipping plane only.
Such a feature is also desirable for volume meshes that hold field values (as done in Paraview clipping).
