update glsl code to 140 standards · 3c999de5
      Ken Martin authored
While maintaining backwards compatibility at least
update our code to use the more modern in/out
qualifiers as opposed to attribute/varying Also
remove old glsl 120 if statements as we no longer support
it and also remove a performance issue in querying the
gl major minor version on every shader test.

API to clear all shader replacements · 780e34ad
      Sankhesh Jhaveri authored
Two new methods to clear all shader replacements:
      - one that clears all
replacements for a certain type of shader i.e. vertex, fragment or
      geometry
      - one that clears all replacements for the mapper

Added test code for regression testing too.

Improvements for vtkNew for stl containers and comparison operations · fd04b442
      Andrew Bauer authored
Adding in functionality to allow inserting vtkNew objects into
stl containers of vtkSmartPointer objects as well as comparisons
between vtkNew objects and raw pointers. Also removing Get() and
GetPointer() calls from vtkNew objects since in most instances we
can just pass in the vtkNew<> object instead of having to use the
Get() or GetPointer() methods to get the raw pointer.

speed up the slowest tests · 5fb734a8
      Ken Martin authored
These tests were taking way too long on some or all
test platforms. In some cases more than two minutes
      to run.

Reindent using the reindentation script. · f830ff47
      Kitware Robot authored
This commit reindents the code with the following utility:
      Utilities/Maintenance/vtk-reindent-code.py

This utility changes the positions of the braces so that they are no
longer indented relative to the code block they reside in.

The bash command line used was the following:

for d in Charts Common Deprecated Domains Examples Filters GUISupport \
Geovis IO Imaging Infovis Interaction Parallel Rendering \
               Testing Views Web Wrapping; do
        for e in cxx cxx.in txx txx.in hxx hxx.in h h.in c c.in; do
          find "${d}" -name "*.${e}" -exec \
            python Utilities/Maintenance/vtk_reindent_code.py {} +
        done

      Used clang-tidy's "modernize-use-override" to add some C++11 overrides · 753dcec5
      Sean McBride authored
It doesn't seem to have got everything, but it's a start.

Some resulting whitespace is suboptimal, but one day
we can fix that with clang-format. :)

      Just ran this command:
      run-clang-tidy.py -checks=-*,modernize-use-override -fix

(I actually had to build my own clang to make clang-tidy
      output "VTK_OVERRIDE" instead of "override".)

Fix lighting to use Blinn-Phong specular model · c97d617e
      Ken Martin authored
A few fixes and cleanups. Use the Blinn-Phong specular lighting
model in the LightKit and Positional shaders. Old OpenGL uses this
model and it is a decent model. Remind myself that the camera is
positioned at 0,0,0 in view coordinates, had to fix a couple places
      that were making different assumptions.

Minor changes to TestVBOPLYMapper to make it easier to use
      when testing out changes.

Minor warning and documentation fixes as well.
